Song of the Day - November 23, 2005

Dredg came out with their album Catch Without Arms earlier this year, but I am just getting around to listening to it. I especially enjoyed the opening track "Ode to the Sun." The track starts with some gentle guitar chords repeated over and over, until it erupts in a violent burst of rapid fire guitar chords, followed by the soaring vocals of Gavin Hayes. On this particular track, the influence of U2's Bono is particularly evident, especially in Gavin's vocals. Depending on what you think of U2, you may either love or hate this song.
