Song of the Day - February 2, 2006

Kuma have been compared to Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Cocteau Twins. Founded in 2002, Kuma has been taking the local Seattle scene by storm. On their debut full-length album Fast Colliding, Kuma leave no doubts about their talents. Check out the track "Every Girl." which features Bre Loughlin soaring vocals. I also love the guitar work which has touches of a David Bowie era Young American sound, but with a Seattle post grunge twist. Click here to listen.
